About Us
Carma was developed out of a need that was so evident I couldn't resist the desire to help. As a freelance business consultant I often found myself stuck in challenging city gridlock. I have a difficult time with the stress of traffic, which is common place in Boston as well as every other metropolitan area of the country. To help me with this difficulty I developed a series of exercises that I adapted from the Yoga I was practicing and teaching. These exercises relax the body and the mind and helped me get through the traffic and create a sound foundation for the rest of my day. It actually helped me fit in a focused stress reduction practice into my busy schedule.
I knew this program was really helping me reduce the stress in my life and I wanted to bring it to everyone else. Road rage is a real problem for people, if everyone would engage in Carma we would all live healthier and happier.
Carma was not a solo project; a group of very talented and wonderful people has contributed to the creation of Carma. My deepest thanks go to these individuals. If you have an opportunity to utilize their services in anyway I highly recommend them.

The Wonderful Music:
Chalanta is the creator of the beautiful music in Carma and the engineer behind the recording:
Chalanta Michael O'Connell is the owner/engineer/composer in residence of Nimbus Productions, a sophisticated project studio located in Acton, Massachusetts. "It's my landlubber equivalent of owning a boat: the whole in the ocean you throw money into." Actually beginning as a commercial studio, the potential of having all that music making equipment in one place spawned a new career path for Chalanta as composer and studio engineer/artist. "I look on my engineering skills, the manipulation of sounds after they are on tape as an artform in and of itself. In a huge way it is like painting with sound, and has an equally important role in the creation of the music project."
Chalanta believes that music has a great power for bringing people together, for creating an atmosphere of peace and harmony, and to invoke a healing energy. A student of Indian guru, Sri Chinmoy, Chalanta has experienced first hand the role of music in spiritual aspiration, and regularly uses music in his meditation practice. "To paraphrase my guru, after the silence of mediation comes music, and I know this sounds very new agey, but in the act of creation, we really are just an instrument, we just like to take the credit later. (ha, ha)."
